We have prepared a VHS videotape which shows an example of an animation rendered at 720 x 486 pixels and then recorded. The same animation was then rendered at 320 x 240 pixels and recorded. This demonstrates the quality of an output which was blown up to full video screen from 1/4 size of the computer screen (320 x 240).
Title safety, stair step effect of gradient fills with and without noise added, flicker elimination, etc. are other featured subjects.
The tape also features the zoom, pan, scale, and stretch capabilities of our Chromatek Scan Down Converter. We recorded the Presidents morph, (one of the examples from Gryphon's MORPH package), and enlarged it to a respectable size on the video screen.
Also shown is a small production done in Adobe Premier. The video footage used was frame grabbed at 640 x 480 pixels.
This tape costs $20 in VHS format. The price of the tape will be refunded with your first job. The tape is also available in Betacam SP format for $40 (also refundable).
